Sustainable history
SvalBad is a floating sauna in Longyearbyen harbor, Svalbard. The floating pier and the sauna is constructed from reclaimed building materials from old buildings (from Longyearbyen and Svea) and is a local collaboration between The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, LPO Architects and Longyearbyen. There is literally local history in SvalBad’s walls – and a great example of local circular economy!
